Chapter 1. Affiliate manager — for beginners

An affiliate manager connects an offer and webmasters. They do not replace an arbitrage specialist and they do not run someone else's ad cabinet. Their work is to keep the offer terms clear, keep traffic inside the allowed sources and make confirmed actions visible to both sides. This chapter is about terms and quality, not about getting around a platform's rules.

Before traffic, the webmaster has to hear the action, the rate, the countries, the allowed sources, the hold and the cap. That is not “we will clarify later”. If a term is not agreed with the advertiser yet, you do not promise it to the webmaster. You do not call a rate from someone else's chat your own. You name the one on the card.

Many clicks with no confirmed actions are not a good day. The manager looks at which source the person came from and whether it matches what the offer allowed. A source outside the list is not “tuned”, it is stopped. You tell the webmaster the reason from the card, not from a mood.

The cap is how many actions the offer is ready to accept. The hold is the pause while the action is not confirmed yet. You explain both words to the webmaster before the start, so the pause does not look like a missing payout. When the cap is close, you stop new traffic. You do not promise to pay extra actions above the cap.

You answer a webmaster's question with what is on the card and in the report: how many clicks, how many actions were confirmed, what is on hold. Someone else's stats and “it works for others” do not replace those numbers. If the report and the cabinet disagree, you check the mark and the source first, then you write to the person.

The manager does not ask a webmaster to promise income that is not in the offer, and does not accept traffic from a forbidden source “until Monday”. Keys of other people's cabinets do not go into the conversation. If the offer is stopped, you say so at once and you do not keep collecting new clicks.
