Chapter 1. Marketplaces — for beginners

Training

How the role differs and where the first money comes from.

The card is the sales page

Training

On a marketplace the person buys from the product card. The photo, the name and the specs have to match what will arrive. Ads lead to this card, not to another product. This chapter is about one card for one product. A pile of random items with no description is not part of it.

The name and the photo

Training

The name says what the thing is, without the word “best” and without someone else's brand if it is not your brand. The first photo shows the product whole, as the person will receive it. A frame of someone else's product, even a similar one, is not used. If the photo shows a feature that is not in the box, you change the photo.

Price and stock

The price on the card is what the person pays. An “old price” is not drawn if that price never existed. Stock is updated: you do not send ads to a product you do not have. A discount is written only if it is counted from your real previous price on this marketplace.

Ads inside the marketplace

Training
Free

Ads inside the marketplace go to your card. The first test is one card, one query or one shelf, and a small cap. You watch not views, but orders and what one order cost. A second card is connected when the first one already has that pair of numbers.

Reviews

Training
Free

A review is written by the buyer. The seller does not write reviews for them, does not buy a pile of them and does not ask for a rating of a product the person did not receive. A normal question in a review is answered from the facts of the box. A rating that cannot be tied to a purchase does not help the card: the marketplace removes such ratings, and trust falls.

A question before the ads

Training
Free

Before spend you open the card as a buyer: is it clear what will arrive, does the price match, is the product in stock. If those three questions have no answer, you do not turn the ads on. Someone else's brand is not added to the name to catch someone else's query.
